Day 1. Sydney, Welcome DinnerYour Queensland holiday starts in the stunning city of Sydney with a sightseeing tour. This evening, enjoy a special Welcome Drink and Dinner at Sydney Tower, the city's tallest building, with panoramic views of Sydney from the tower's revolving restaurant.

Day 2. Sydney, Port MacquarieToday begins with a drive across famous Sydney Harbour Bridge to the charming seaside town of Port Macquarie, which is located on the scenic central coast of New South Wales.

Day 3. Byron Bay, Gold CoastKnown for its surf beaches, Byron Bay is a famous coastal holiday destination. Pass by Cape Byron, before journeying north to the Gold Coast. Perhaps stroll along Surfers Paradise Beach before enjoying dinner at leisure (own expense).

Day 4. Brisbane, Australia Zoo, Fraser IslandDepart Gold Coast via Brisbane and continue to the Sunshine Coast to visit world-renowned Australia Zoo. Made famous by the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. Australia Zoo features wild animals from all corners of the globe. Gain an appreciation for conservation here. Later today, travel north to remarkable Fraser Island.
Two Nights: Fraser Island, Kingfisher Bay Resort (B)
Day 5. Fraser IslandThe largest sand island in the world, with an area of 184,000 hectares, Fraser Island represents extraordinary natural diversity. Striking sand cliffs, freshwater lakes and ancient rainforests are framed by stunning white sandy beaches. Today, we discover this beautiful island with a half-day tour and some time at leisure this afternoon. Perhaps visit the wreck of the Maheno, which is a Trans-Tasman liner that was driven ashore during a cyclone in 1935. Alternatively, simply relax on a peaceful stretch of white sand with a good book. Day 6. Hervey Bay, RockhamptonA morning cruise takes us across picturesque Hervey Bay and back to the mainland, where we rejoin our coach for the journey north. We travel through sugar cane country, crossing some of the many narrow gauge railway lines that transport sugar cane from the field to processing plants in town, an iconic sight of rural Queensland. Later, we arrive in the inland city of Rockhampton, which is known as the beef capital of Australia.

Day 7. Rockhampton, Daydream IslandThe gateway to both the coast and the Outback, the city of Rockhampton also boasts some of
the best provincial gardens in Australia. This morning, enjoy a tour of these beautiful gardens before travelling to Airlie Beach, where we join a cruise through the sparkling Whitsunday Islands for a two night stay on the picturesque tropical resort of Daydream Island.

Day 8. Daydream IslandThe whole of today is at leisure on Daydream Island. Discover the region's many species of tropical fish by snorkelling off the beach; take a stroll through the tropical jungle to the highest point of the island; relax by one of the many inviting swimming pools or even enjoy some of the available water sports and spa treatments (own expense). Alternatively, join a half-day Whitehaven Beach excursion (own expense, please enquire for details). (B)
Day 9. Townsville, Mission BeachOur journey north continues today with an early morning ferry transfer from Daydream Island to Shute Harbour where we re-board our coach and travel to Townsville. On arrival, enjoy a look around this tropical city, which is surrounded by rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Departing Townsville, continue to Mission Beach, a natural halfway point between Townsville and Cairns.

Day 10. Atherton Tablelands, CairnsRolling green hills, open farmland and tropical rainforest characterise the Atherton Tablelands, which form part of Queensland's Great Dividing Range. Here, surrounded by lush rainforest, visit Millaa Millaa Falls and the Curtain Fig tree. Later, at the scenic village of Kuranda, you'll board the Kuranda Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Enjoy views of the tropical region surrounding Cairns and the Coral Sea in the distance, as you ride above the treetops to Caravonica Lakes. Arrive Cairns.

Day 11. Great Barrier Reef, Farewell DinnerCruise from Cairns by fast catamaran to Reef Magic's exclusive reef activity platform and enjoy five hours amidst the colourful coral and marine life. Tonight, experience a Farewell Dinner at Tjapukai By Night, where you'll take part in a corroboree, and enjoy some of the region's premium dishes. (B, FD)
Day 12. Depart CairnsEnjoy a drive north along beautiful coastline to the relaxed holiday township of Port Douglas for a tour. We then return to Cairns, where our tour concludes at the airport. (B)
